A bright future full
of possibilities
for every child.

We create a society where children with diverse developmental needs can live true to themselves and grow into independent adults.

About Us

Certified non-profit organization "Hattatsu Wanpaku Kai" was established in Japan in 2010.

Guided by the philosophy of “Living true to oneself”, we focus on early detection and early intervention for children with developmental disabilities or developmental traits.

We run four centers in Chiba and Tokyo, where children ages 1 to 6 receive early intervention programs provided by caring and highly specialized teams of psychologists and certified therapists. We use a strength-based approach to provide a positive and nurturing environment for every child with unique needs.

We also walk alongside each family, helping them build strong, supportive ties with their community.

Features

Our goal is to share Japan’s early intervention methods worldwide to promote developmental support.

Interdisciplinary team

Psychologists, speech-language therapists, occupational therapists, music therapists, and other specialists work together to design personalized programs for each child.

Child centered approach

Rather than focusing on weaknesses, we nurture each child’s “likes” and “strengths,” building confidence and resilience through a sense of accomplishment.

Growing Together with Parents

We value open dialogue with families, sharing both progress and challenges at every step to help prevent social isolation and strengthen connections within the community.

Global Activities – Vietnam Project

Sharing Japan’s early intervention expertise with the world.

In addition to our programs in Japan, Hattatsu Wanpaku Kai has launched international collaborations to share Japan’s early intervention expertise worldwide.
Since 2023, we have been working with local partners in Vietnam, including the Trung Tam Tuoi Than Tien developmental support center in Hanoi, as part of a joint project with JICA called “QUEST” (Quality Education for Special-needs Teachers).
Through the project, we provide training for therapists and educators, conduct workshops for parents, and share our AI-based assessment tools and therapeutic know-how developed in Japan. These activities aim to promote inclusive education and help children with developmental traits live true to themselves, wherever they are born.
In September 2025, our team visited the center in Hanoi and observed therapy sessions and classroom activities. We witnessed children learning with joy and confidence, and we were deeply inspired by the dedication of the local teachers and parents.
Hattatsu Wanpaku Kai will continue to expand its international partnerships to create a world where all children can thrive, reach their full potential, and pursue happiness, regardless of the circumstances they are born into.

Voices from Supporters & Parents

I work in a corporate HR department and am in charge of promoting Diversity & Inclusion. While raising awareness about developmental disabilities in the workplace, I learned about Wanpaku’s early intervention program.I fully support their approach of seeing developmental disabilities as a ‘brain-based individuality’ and providing early childhood intervention so that children can make the most of their individuality and participate fully in society. That is why I decided to support Wanpaku.I also want to continue raising awareness within companies so that inclusive workplaces where everyone can thrive will increase.

The Story of the founder, Oda

Oda recognized that people with developmental disabilities have unique strengths, yet face challenges in society due to a lack of understanding from those around them. He realized that if those received appropriate support from an early age, they could develop their unique talents, adapt to society, and reach their full potential.

With this belief, he founded the organization together with a team of colleagues. They began providing individualized, tailor-made therapy programs that nurture each child’s social-emotional being, language development, and allow families to share in the joy of their children’s growth.

To reach even more children, Oda expanded the number of centers and programs. He also works to share the organization’s expertise in personalized early intervention programs with other centers and establishments, building a network that supports children throughout the community.

Oda continues to strive toward a society where all children with developmental needs can improve communication skills, expand their strengths, and thrive in their communities with both confidence and independence.

His deep commitment to creating societies where children can grow happy, healthy, and full of smiles is the driving force behind both him and the Hattatsu Wanpaku-kai.
